The most popular RFID standard today is EPC Global Generation 2. This is the standard that Walmart, Kmart, and the DOD have selected for RFID tagging mandates. These tags come in several varieties, including tags that can be printed in traditional barcode label printers as well as tags that are pre encoded with license plate data.
