BARCODE PRINTERS are available for a wide range of applications, from on demand label printing up to batch report printing. Printing technologies used include direct thermal, thermal transfer, laser, and dot matrix for label generation and report printing. BARCODE PRINTERS are manufactured by Zebra, Intermec, Printronix,Eltron, Sato, and Datamax.

BARCODE PRINTERS allow product identification labels to be easily printed and applied to a product. Now every time you need to record a distribution move, or manufacturing procedure,just scan the barcode label. Labels will typically have human readable fields for extra information, and even logos. Many end customers have implemented compliance labeling programs that barcode printers can perform.

Current thermal transfer/direct thermal printing technology operates at either 203, 300, 400, or 600 dots per inch. This allows you to put the information you need, where you need it, and as small as you need it, with a crisp clear,easily readable format. Most thermal transfer printers operate in an on-demand mode, meaning you print the labels you need right then for the products you are working on.

Laser printing technologies provide crisp, clear reports, with barcoded data fields if needed, as well as large volume batch barcode label printing. Printronix laser printers offer highspeed 20 to 35 page per minute output and rugged 50,000 to 300,000 sheet per month duty cycles. Printronix dot matrix printers provide the most cost effective means available for report printing.

Some mobile applications need the ability to print labels on demand, on the spot. In this situation, a portable printer hooked up to a portable data collection terminal can provide the printing flexibility needed. Portable printers are available from Zebra, Eltron, Intermec, and Comtec. Several printers have the ability to connect wirelessly to the portable terminal; eliminating the cable.
